PREMISE:
Insiders at an online sportsbook navigate the adrenaline-fueled chaos of the industry.
STORY:
The first season follows a battle for control of the rapidly growing online sportsbook, RushPoint, between co-founders Liam and Cole the latter mysteriously showing up the week of a huge relaunch of the brand after a yearlong booze filled hiatus.
But it’s not just internal powers Liam has to look out for. After a quiet year building Liam’s sportsbook empire, a new player, Patrick Kross, enters the game when his massive venture capital firm finds a seat on the board of RushPoint, creating a clusterfuck corporate threeway for control. Since hostile takeovers don’t happen overnight, we watch this battle play out over multiple episodes with twists and turns and the odds for the favorite changing with every move.
The corporate internal war is also seen through the eyes of Jada Baker, the newest Account Management Executive who is just trying to get by but may find herself caught in the crossfire or just might end up a huge asset. As Liam and Cole clash over the future of RushPoint, they must also come together at times to face the regular external challenges that come with running a global online sportsbook. Fierce competition, the potential of millions lost at the tap of a button, and government scrutiny, attack from all angles as the struggle for complete control roars on.
Real-life sporting events intertwine with the drama, creating a dynamic backdrop for their power struggle. Battles will be won and lost at high speeds, just like the sports world in which they operate. The storylines of our characters begin to intertwine as the season progresses, raising the stakes of action taken. At the end of the season, the war between Liam and Cole will come down to one final play, but who will win or if RushPoint will survive at all will be the ultimate gamble.
